THE TEXTILE IMPRESSION
A Signature Analogue Technique

Material Lineage
My practice begins with a curation of antique and contemporary textiles—
crochet, embroidery, eyelet, lace and linens selected for their dimensional character.

Clients are invited to provide a personal artifact: a fragment of gown fabric
or a family heirloom to be embedded, weaving their own narrative into the art.

The Custom Press
Using a Conrad Etching Press custom-built to my specifications,
these textiles are hand-pressed into curated papers.

This high-pressure contact creates a permanent ghost-impression—
a play of light and shadow that serves as the tactile foundation.

The Manual Hand
Botanical silhouettes are hand-drafted from the original flora.
Every form is manually carved and layered without digital intervention.

The Precision of the Blade
A single commission can consume hundreds of X-Acto blades;
the heavy, hand-cast paper quickly dulls the steel as I carve the sculpture.

This is a meticulous, physical reconstruction—
transforming the ephemeral floral into an enduring heirloom.

THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY
The Paper Vow

Paper is the traditional gift for the first anniversary—
a symbol of the new life you are building.
Sacred + Union elevates this tradition
into a permanent record of the day.

Justina transforms your ephemeral wedding flowers
into a hand-carved relief, bridging the space
between your wedding day and your growing legacy.

Secure your place in the studio calendar
to turn your botanical history into an enduring heirloom.

THE ELEMENTS OF THE HEIRLOOM

THE FLORAL NARRATIVE

The floral form is a meticulously detailed drafted translation of the wedding flowers, with the soul of the flower silhouettes anchored in the spiritual metaphors of Floriography.
Justina speaks this language to narrate the spoken story of each flower in the arrangement, preserving the unspoken sentiment of the day within the permanent silhouette.

THE SACRED FOUNDATION

The paper itself is an artifact of cultural heritage.
Justina curates a global library of papers, sourced from sustainable artisans and craft masters, some acknowledged as Living National Treasures. The selection process prioritizes the quality of color to convey the energetic vibe of the celebration, while the natural fiber amplifies the inherent character of the sheet.

MATERIAL LINEAGE

You are invited to provide a personal artifact for integration into the art—a fragment of the gown, a grandmother’s lace, or an embroidered linen. Justina operates the Conrad Etching Press to create a
one-of-a-kind monoprint, pressing the textile directly into the paper to leave a permanent
ghost-impression. The fabric is reverently packaged in a custom archival bag and box enclosure, returned to you alongside the framed art.

THE LIVING RELIEF

The art is not a static image; it is a dimensional relief. Encased in Tru Vue Museum Glass® to block 99% of UV light, the sculpture interacts with the shifting sunlight of your home. Shadows lengthen and retreat across the
hand-carved surface throughout the day, allowing the art to exist as a living, moving presence of your wedding vow.

THE SCULPTURAL SCALE

Every commission is sculpted to your specific space.
Ranging from the intimate Boutonnière to the monumental Wild Meadow, the scale is determined by the complexity of the floral narrative and the room it will inhabit.

THE STUDIO RHYTHM

As a solo artist, Justina hand-crafts every step—
from the pressure of the press to the precision of the blade.
Intimate commissions are sculpted in one week; monumental works require two weeks or more.
To align with your needs, the studio offers three distinct timelines:

  • The Honeymoon Return: For those who desire the immediate gratification of the memory. Justina prioritizes the carving, mounting, and framing process immediately following the ceremony. The art is shipped overnight to arrive as you return from your travels, ready to welcome you home as the first installation of your new life.

  • The Natural Flow: The standard studio rhythm. Art is carved, mounted, and framed with intention, typically ready for delivery within 4–6 weeks of the design approval.

  • The Anniversary Reserve: A service of foresight. Justina offers a secure archive for early commissions, honoring paper as the traditional gift for the first anniversary. The art is carved, framed, and vaulted—released to arrive precisely for the milestone, ensuring the first year of marriage concludes with the same beauty with which it began.

THE SAFE PASSAGE

Each commissioned heirloom is treated with museum-grade care.
Pieces are professionally packaged, fully insured, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

  • Standard: Secure, insured shipping worldwide.

  • White Glove: Coordinated white-glove delivery and installation services are available for all clients.
